Maxx Crosby went viral with his message at the ‘Sack Summit’

Las Vegas Raiders pass rusher Maxx Crosby delivered an impressive, if somewhat ironic, message to his peers at this year’s “Sack Summit.”

Crosby was invited to be the host and keynote speaker at the annual “Sack Summit,” an event designed to help defensive linemen and edge rushers network and share knowledge.

On Tuesday, Crosby stood before dozens of NFL players at UNLV’s Fertitta Football Complex in Las Vegas, Nevada. His message at an event that included the word “sack” in its name? It’s not just about sacks. (Warning: Video contains profanity.)

“I had one game, I played against the Chiefs my junior year. I had like 13 pressures and zero sacks and I kill that guy,” Crosby shared.

“I knew I was gonna kill his a–. We lost the game and I got murdered (on social media). They’re like, ‘Oh, he got his a– locked up.’ I’m like, ‘Did I miss something?’ … If you stick to it and trust the plan, you know you’re gonna win rushes, man. The sacks are coming and they’re coming in piles.”

The “Sack Summit” was originally hosted by three-time All-Pro linebacker Von Miller in 2017. The event has always been held in Las Vegas, which is perfectly Crosby territory.

Crosby knows how to get sacks. He was sixth in the NFL last season with 14.5 sacks, ahead of players like Micah Parsons and 2023 Defensive Player of the Year Myles Garrett.

Crosby was named to the 2nd All-Pro team and finished fourth in DPoY voting.
