Nader criticized for blaming high court decision on Hillary Clinton

Ralph Nader, who ran as a third-party candidate in the 2000 presidential election that ultimately handed George W. Bush victory, said Monday that the Supreme Court’s 6-3 decision to grant Donald Trump presidential immunity was Hillary Clinton’s fault.

On social media, Nader wrote: “A dictatorial, unelected majority on the Supreme Court just made America a dictatorial president above the law. Thanks to Hillary Clinton, whose bungled campaign allowed dictator Trump to become president and led to a dictatorial, right-wing majority on the Supreme Court.”

A series of legal and political experts quickly called out the former presidential candidate.

The nation Court correspondent Elie Mystal responded: “MAYBE CHIEF JUSTICE JOHN ROBERTS ISN’T HERE TO WRITE THIS OPINION TODAY IF YOU DON’T RUN FOR PRESIDENT OR DO YOU THINK PEOPLE WOULD FORGET THIS TODAY OF ALL FUCKING DAYS???”

MSNBC columnist Katelyn Burns added: “This man is responsible for the appointment of the person who wrote the opinion and a second vote in his favor.”

Norman Ornstein, a senior fellow at the American Enterprise Institute, said: “Sorry, Ralph, but you, of all people, have no place here.”

Bradley P. Moss wrote: “Ralph, please apologize for this discussion. You and your ilk will forever be the election spoilers who helped make this possible.”

Mississippi Free Press Editor Ashton Pittman said: “Nobody needed to hear Ralph Nader today.”
