25-year-old man wanted for child pornography arrested in Oswego, sheriff says

OSWEGO, IL — A Montgomery man wanted for child pornography and other crimes has been apprehended in Oswego, Kendall County Sheriff’s Office officials said Monday.

Members of the Kendall County Sheriff’s Office and the United States Marshals Great Lakes Regional Fugitive Task Force apprehended Gerardo Zamores, 25, and took him into custody without incident, according to a news release.

Zamores, of the 100 block of Tealwood Road, was wanted on a Kendall County warrant for one count of child pornography and five counts of aggravated criminal sexual abuse. He was taken to the county jail for trial and was later released on conditions prior to trial.

In light of the man’s arrest, authorities urged the community to report the whereabouts of fugitives to Crime Stoppers at 630-553-5999. Callers can remain anonymous and could receive a reward if their information leads to the arrest of a fugitive.
