Top 20 guard Darius Adams receives scholarship offer from Louisville men’s basketball team

LOUISVILLE, Ky. – The Louisville men’s basketball program has added another elite Class of 2025 target to its big board.

La Porte (Ind.) La Lumiere guard Darius Adams announced Monday that he has received a scholarship offer to play for the Cardinals.

Adams has received nearly 20 offers, with UConn, Kansas, Alabama, Texas and others also in the mix. He also took unofficial visits to Indiana, Michigan State, Notre Dame and Tennessee.

The 6-foot-4, 165-pound goaltender is considered a top-20 prospect in three of the four major scouting services, peaking as high as No. 16 recruit in the cycle according to Rivals. THE 247Sports The composite rankings rank him among the top five-star prospects and rank him 18th among players in the country.

Whether it was during his high school season or the offseason, Adams made his presence felt. He averaged 15.7 points, 4.4 rebounds and 2.3 assists per game for La Lumiere, earning him a Junior All-American honorable mention by MaxPreps. He helped La Lumiere to a 23-5 record and a No. 9 national ranking.

With the PSA Cardinals in the Nike EYBL, he showcased his scoring skills. He averaged 15.0 points over 13 games, shooting 44.8 percent from the field and 39.7 percent from three-point range. He currently ranks 28th in the EYBL in scoring.

Adams is now the 19th prospect in the 2025 class to receive an offer from Louisville, with most of the offers coming in the last two months after head coach Pat Kelsey was hired.
