Pet of the Week: Meet Uncle Traveler Matt!

BRYAN, Texas (KBTX) – Meet our Pet of the Week, Traveling Uncle Matt!

Uncle Traveling Matt is a senior Yorkshire Terrier/Schnauzer mix, ready to find a loving family to spend his golden years with.

Because Uncle Matt is almost completely blind, he can be shy around strangers, but once he feels comfortable with someone, he forms an unbreakable bond.

“Other than his blindness, he is healthy now,” foster mom Lori Thornton said. “He gets along great with the dogs and cats in my home.”

Thornton said he would be perfect for a quiet home with a garden he could walk around in.

“He loves to walk around the yard. That’s when he wags his tail the hardest,” Thornton says.

Uncle Matt enjoys curling up on the couch and spending time outdoors.

“He’s very happy to curl up at your feet while you watch TV and he looks for his perfect spot to do that,” Thornton added.
