A 28-year-old Dorchester man has been charged with taking an upskirt photo of an 11-year-old girl as she walked to a bus stop.

Agustin Jaramillo has been charged with indecent assault and battery on a person under 14 following the alleged incident last month.

On June 6, Boston police officers responded to a call from Conservatory Lab Charter School in Dorchester. Officers encountered an 11-year-old student who reported to school staff that she had been approached by a man, later identified as Jaramillo, as she walked to the bus stop that morning.

Jaramillo allegedly handed the girl a rope and asked her to help him tie a knot. He then allegedly leaned down and told the girl he was going to pull up her sock. Jaramillo then allegedly used his cell phone to take a photo up the victim’s skirt and rubbed his hand against her leg.

The girl described Jaramillo as a man in his 30s, with a mustache, carrying a white plastic shopping bag and wearing a black T-shirt and white shorts.

Investigators reviewed video from several neighborhood surveillance cameras and saw a man matching the description interacting with the victim on Wainwright Street. Police released photos of the suspect.
