Spy whales filmed in Porpoise Bay on June 29

Photographer Ken McCann was in Porpoise Bay Provincial Park in Sechelt Inlet on Saturday, June 29, when this pod of four to five orcas appeared off Poise Island.

At one point, McCann observed the curious orcas spying, which he was lucky enough to film.

McCann first posted his photos on Facebook, which garnered a lot of attention. He also gave Coastal Journalist permission to republish these remarkable photos.
