KANSAS CITY, Mo. (WJW) — Despite the scripts being full of holes, the tried-and-true formula of many Hallmark Channel holiday movies remains popular year after year.

And this year, Hallmark Channel is teaming up with the NFL and the Kansas City Chiefs to bring to television an all-new movie that many might see as a tribute to the very public relationship between Cleveland Heights’ Travis Kelce and global superstar Taylor Swift.

Starring Tyler Hynes and Hunter King, the plot of “Holiday Touchdown: A Chiefs Love Story” reportedly involves a woman from a family of die-hard Chiefs fans. She meets the director of fan engagement as part of a “fan of the year” contest, and things go well. Some things go wrong, and some things go right.

“By blending the warmth of Hallmark storytelling with the excitement of professional football, we are thrilled to offer audiences a front-row seat to experience the community spirit, rich traditions and passionate fans that define Kansas City, all wrapped up in Hallmark’s heartwarming and uplifting way,” Hallmark Chief Brand Officer Darren Abbott said in a statement.

Hallmark is based in Kansas City, and this movie was shot on location, including at the Chiefs’ Arrowhead Stadium.

It’s unclear whether Kelce or Swift are involved in the cozy, cheesy, and adorable sweetness of this latest Hallmark Christmas movie.
