Olivia Rodrigo’s Co-op Live concerts cancelled after night of chaos in crisis-ridden arena

Pop superstar Olivia Rodrigo’s concerts at the troubled Co-op Live will be rescheduled after persistent technical problems at the arena, bosses have said.

The American singer, who was due to perform on two nights, Friday May 3 and Saturday May 4, will no longer be able to perform due to a “permanent technical problem linked to the venue”.

A Boogie Wit Da Hoodie’s concert scheduled for tonight (May 1) has been cancelled just minutes before the opening act was due to start, leaving fans “devastated”. The MEN have revealed that the show was cancelled after a “piece of air conditioning” fell from the ceiling.

The cancellations follow weeks of chaos at the venue, where several opening shows were pushed back amid a frantic race to prepare the arena.

In a message posted on X, the arena wrote: “Due to an ongoing technical issue related to the venue, Olivia Rodrigo’s scheduled GUTS World Tour performances on May 3rd and 4th are postponed.

“Ticket holders can either keep their tickets or obtain a refund at the point of purchase.”
