DENVER (KDVR) — Quarterback Zach Wilson had a pretty eventful offseason, first getting traded to the Denver Broncos from the New York Jets and then getting engaged.

Wilson posted the announcement on his Instagram account, saying: “To the love of my life, I never really understood what love was until I met you. You are not only my partner, but my best friend and my everything.”

Wilson’s fiancée, Nicolette Dellanno, is a model and fashion designer, according to People magazine.

In his own message, Dellanno said, “Zach, you are the best thing that has ever happened to me. Every day I admire your strength and am incredibly proud of you. I am so in love with you and can’t wait to spend the rest of our lives together.”

According to location beacons, Wilson proposed in Amalfi, a town on the Italian coast about an hour’s drive south of Naples.

Wilson started 33 games for the Jets over three seasons and posted a record of 12 wins and 21 losses.

He’s one of three quarterbacks on the Broncos’ depth chart, along with Jarrett Stidham, who started several games last season after Russell Wilson was benched, and Bo Nix, who was drafted in the first round of the 2024 NFL Draft after playing at Auburn and Oregon in college.

Russell Wilson was released by the Broncos after the season and has since signed with the Pittsburgh Steelers.
