Angry Donald Trump’s Post-it Note Was Filmed By Photographer

Presumptive Republican presidential nominee Donald Trump was photographed before the start of his trial on “bribery” charges Tuesday with his hands resting on two Post-it notes.

On one of them, written in thick black marker, apparently in the former president’s handwriting: “This case should be dismissed by the judge, but it is totally corrupt.”

Someone shared an image on Reddit, though it was edited to make Trump look more orange. Some suggested that Trump shouldn’t have had to write the message, given how he’s repeatedly addressed the issue during the court proceedings.

“LOL, there needs to be a handwritten note that says ‘case must be dismissed by judge,’” one commenter wrote. Another added, “He had to write that down to remember to say it, after only saying it 10 million times.”

“He has to write that!?!?” a third asked mockingly.

Other Reddit users, however, suggested that Trump may have intended for the message to be spotted.

“He wrote it because he knew it would be photographed and it would get your attention,” one said. Another posted: “It’s not for him to read, it’s for us to read. They wanted those notes photographed.”

Trump is under a restraining order in the case, barring him from making public comments about jurors, prosecutors, witnesses, court staff and their families. Judge Juan Merchan, who is overseeing the trial, has so far fined Trump a total of $10,000 for repeated violations of the order.

Closing arguments in the trial ended Tuesday and jury deliberations are expected to begin Wednesday.
