Vanessa Lachey Says She’s ‘Confused’ About ‘NCIS: Hawaii’ Cancellation

Vanessa Lachey says she’s still processing the news that her CBS show, “NCIS: Hawai’i,” has been canceled.

The actor, who stars in the crime drama, took to Instagram on Saturday to share his thoughts on the series’ ending.

“Devastated, confused, caught off guard,” she wrote in a text overlay of a post on her Instagram Story.

“I am processing this news and I am still there for my family,” she continued. “I love you all!”

She concluded her message by expressing her gratitude to her fans with a Hawaiian phrase: “Mahalo Nui Loa.”

CBS has decided to cancel “NCIS: Hawai’i” after three seasons, Deadline reported this week. The news comes shortly before the Season 3 finale airs on May 6.

A CBS representative did not immediately respond to a request for comment.

Lachey, who is the first woman to play a lead role in an “NCIS” franchise, plays Special Agent Jane Tennant in the series.

She celebrated her breakthrough role in an Instagram post earlier this month.

“Thank you to CBS and Paramount for believing in me and this groundbreaking series,” she captioned the post. “Congratulations to all the incredible people who helped make this possible! I love my job!!!”

CBS announced that the “NCIS” universe had reached the 1,000-episode combined mark last week.
