Baby Reindeer creator reportedly offered huge deal for new Netflix series

Could we have another baby reindeer?

Richard Gadd, the man behind Baby reindeerwas reportedly offered a huge contract by Netflix.

Without a doubt one of the most important and talked about shows of the year so far, Baby reindeer is based on the true story of Gadd’s own experience with a stalker.

A source from The Sun now claims that Netflix has offered Richard Gadd nearly £1million to work exclusively for them and create more hit shows.

“It’s not a done deal yet, the streamer and Richard are negotiating the details of a contract that would see him start working on a new show as soon as possible,” the source said.

“The fact that it could end up being worth seven figures reflects how much Netflix wants to keep it ‘in-house’ following the incredible response to Baby reindeer,” the source continued.

“They hope to be able to reach an agreement which will see Richard produce a series of shows for them, which could prove equally successful and stimulating.”

Baby reindeerreleased on Netflix in April this year, immediately set records for the platform in the UK and Ireland.

The show racked up 22 million views in its first month of release and is currently in Netflix’s Top 10 most popular shows, alongside Strange things And Wednesday.

Exciting news for Richard Gadd, although we hope he doesn’t need more traumatic real-life experiences to write a hit TV series!
