Prudential plc announces share buyback and cancellation

Prudential (EN:PRU) released an update.

Prudential plc has announced the repurchase of 378,476 of its own ordinary shares at prices ranging from £7.0380 to £7.1700 per share, or an average cost of £7.0888, on the London Stock Exchange via Goldman Sachs International. The company intends to cancel the acquired shares, bringing the total number of shares outstanding to 2,746,996,327. The repurchase is in accordance with the authorisation given by shareholders and is part of the company’s strategy to manage share capital efficiently.
