Biden to meet with Democratic gubernatorial caucus chaired by Walz after poor debate performance | The Mighty 790 KFGO

WASHINGTON, DC — President Biden, trying to downplay concerns over his performance in last week’s debate with former President Donald Trump, is scheduled to meet today (Wednesday) with the Democratic Governors Association and its chairman, Minnesota Gov. Tim Walz. He is reportedly among those in attendance at the White House.

Walz, who was inspecting the damaged Rapidan Dam near Mankato on Tuesday, said that during a routine meeting Monday, governors were discussing other issues, including wildfires and flooding, then the conversation turned to the president and “what was a poor performance in the debate last Thursday.”

Walz said governors are asking themselves: “What is the plan? … How are we going to get this message out?”

Walz said he doesn’t think anyone is sugarcoating the situation … but he thinks the question is, “How does this impact the way the country functions? How does this impact the way the election is going to be conducted? And again, it’s about the differences and the binary choice that we’re going to face in November.”
