Reward offered for information in death of pregnant mother, Sumter police say

SUMTER, SC (WOLO) – Sumter police said a reward is available for anyone who can help identify the person or people involved in the shooting death of a pregnant mother in May.

Keyirra Walker, 25, was shot and killed on the morning of Monday, May 13, in her Carroll Drive home.

Walker was a mother of two children and expecting a third at the time of her death.

Police believe it is likely that Walker knew the person who shot him.

Anyone with information is asked to contact Sumter PD at 803-436-2700 or CrimeStoppers at 1-888-CRIME-SC.

A reward of up to $5,000 is available as agents continue to seek information in this case.

Information provided to police or through Crime Stoppers may include, but is not limited to:

  1. Persons or vehicles seen in the Carroll Drive area on the night of May 12 and/or early morning hours of May 13. If possible, provide descriptions of the persons and/or vehicles. For persons, note gender, hairstyle and color, body type (tall, thin, short, stocky, approximate height and weight), clothing, visible scars, tattoos, piercings, etc. For vehicles, note color, makes, models, markings such as stripes/designs, accessories, stickers, damaged parts, etc.
  2. Noises heard that night or morning, including people talking, cars starting, possible gunshots, etc.
  3. Or if you know someone or something that can provide you with other details that might be helpful to the investigation. Don’t ignore your instincts. Sometimes the smallest piece of information can be the most important.
