Pikes Peak Library District Announces Events This Month

EL PASO COUNTY — The Pikes Peak Library District (PPLD) has announced events it will host this month that will appeal to people of all ages and interests in El Paso County.

Below is a list of this month’s events:

Summer Adventure Celebrations
Fridays July 12, 19 and 26

PPLD concludes its 2024 Summer Adventure, its annual summer reading program that keeps readers and learners of all ages engaged throughout the summer. The celebrations offer free family fun in the sun.

The July 12 celebration will feature a live concert at the Palmer Lake Town Hall Green. Attendees of all ages will enjoy traditional and original songs.

On July 19, the Summerfest will take place at Aga Park in Fountain. Young visitors will enjoy live music, a petting zoo and much more.

The July 26 celebration will include fun activities at George Fellows Park, behind the East Library. The event will include a foam party, petting zoo, face and rock painting and much more. The Friends of PPLD will also host a book sale.

Fun Summer Programming

Parents and guardians looking for activities for children ages 0-12 can check out PPLD’s Summer Fun programming. They are designed to be entertaining and educational for children.

Kids can enjoy engaging storytelling, juggling kinetics, dinosaur history, live music, dancing and more. For kids participating in Summer Adventure, PPLD says Summer Fun programs count toward the 30 days of required activities.
