From the team at JanduSoft comes Scholar’s Mate. It’s launching on Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, PlayStation, and PC to offer players a new escape room opportunity, as they look to combine a chess final move with horror. It seems to fit the bill pretty well if you ask us.

Can you escape the horror?

Retailing for £10.49 on the Xbox Store, Scholar’s Mate sees you kidnapped by Eddie, a maniac who roams the corridors of an old abandoned mental hospital. This is where we are trapped, forced to try to escape, making our way through the dark corridors, avoiding Eddie as much as possible.

And yes, you probably know what that means. Run and Eddie will be right behind you. Use the bright lights of a torch and he will see you. Instead, you will have to navigate carefully to safety, getting rid of your pursuer at all costs.
