IRVINESTOWN singer Leigha Durnion has revealed a busy summer schedule that will see her perform at some of New York’s biggest venues.
The 25-year-old Fermanagh talent has risen through the ranks of local music and since moving to the United States of America to live, her music career has reached a whole new level.
She will perform at the Sailhouse in New York, where she will headline concerts and gigs at the American venue over the coming summer months.
After his early education at the University of Ulster in Jordanstown, the Fermanagh talent moved to the United States of America to pursue a career as a professional musician and singer.
After releasing her first professional video – a cover of Little Big Town’s “Girl Crush” – the Irvinestown singer told the Herald she has impressive plans to enhance her music career.
“I am very proud because throughout my school life, one of the music teachers always told me that I would not go anywhere with music,” said the popular singer.
“Making a video was a little outside my comfort zone, but I wanted to do something different.
“When it came to being on camera I would have been a little shy, but I started going to the Sound Garden in Drumquin and the owner, David (Doonan), really pushed me to do my best and try new things.”
At Christmas, the 25-year-old singer gave a big concert at the “Sailhouse”, located at 238 Green Street in Tarrytown, New York.
