The Prophetic Message of America’s Birth

“I want to tell you that it’s very important to stand with your people. It’s one of the ways we bring the Kingdom. I truly believe in that,” Brewer said. “The Lord has put me in a certain place at a certain time and I have to do my part to make sure that everything around me looks a little more like heaven than hell.”

One of the keys to understanding America’s founding is that Scripture has been woven through some of the most monumental moments in our history.

Brewer notes that Leviticus 25:10 is inscribed on the Liberty Bell, which says: “…proclaim liberty throughout all the land to all who dwell therein.”

“The reason it’s called the Liberty Bell is simply because of Leviticus 25:10,” Brewer explains. “It’s all a prophetic statement and a call to Liberty.”

“This happened in a place called Philadelphia,” Brewer said. “You know the Philadelphia church, don’t you? He said, ‘Behold, I set before you an open door that no man can shut.’”

This is in reference to Revelation 3:7-8 which says, “And to the angel of the church in Philadelphia write; He who is holy, he who is true, he who has the key of David, he who opens and no one shuts, and shuts and no one opens, he says, ‘I know your works. See, I have set before you an open door, and no one can shut it. For you have a little strength, and yet you have kept my word and have not denied my name.’”

“The Declaration of Independence was the birth certificate of our great nation, but it was also a death warrant when they signed it,” Brewer said. “It was a solemn and sacred moment when they signed that piece of paper, they knew their lives would never be the same again.”

As we remember the courage it took for these brave men to sign the Declaration of Independence, let us also remember the symbolic message that God was with our nation from its conception, making it an open door for many to come and find freedom.
