In a recent interview with Vogue, Jacobs said his love for beautiful nails began when he was a child and was inspired by his mother and aunts, who kept their little fingers on point with a classic French manicure.

These days, Jacobs keeps her nails looking fresh with the help of Yulenny Garcia, owner of Muñeca Nail Salon in the Bronx, bringing her sense of style to every manicure.

“Marc is very passionate about every set we create,” Garcia told Vogue. “He designs each set himself.”

But the nails are just for him — Jacobs has no plans to incorporate nail art into his shows just yet.

“I do this for me, it’s a way to express myself. I just like having long nails, you know? Nothing more.” he said.
