Florence County Officers Find Nearly 7 Pounds of Cocaine Hidden in Secret Compartment of Vehicle After Traffic Stop on I-95

FLORENCE COUNTY, SC (WBTW) — Florence County deputies seized nearly seven pounds of cocaine and arrested a Florida woman Wednesday after stopping a vehicle for speeding on Interstate 95.

Authorities arrested Carmen Denisse Garcia Roman, 34, of Orlando, Florida, after finding drugs hidden in a “spare compartment” in the vehicle, cops said. She was charged with trafficking cocaine and taken to the Florence County Detention Center to await a bail hearing.

Roman was driving north on I-95 near mile marker 163 when authorities stopped his vehicle and found approximately 6.6 pounds, or 3 kilos, of cocaine.
