Pop Star Takes Care Of Rescued Cat Who Was Ready To Pop At Any Moment!

How many kittens can a female cat have, actually? Well, the world the record is 19, although four were stillborn. And did you know that a litter of kittens can actually come from several different fathers? Yes, cats can create their own zip code in no time! But until they are all spayed, rescuers continue to try to save as many lives as possible. Recently, a pop star welcomed a tabby cat who was also ready to be born in a very different way!

Mama Kitty is ready to burst!

When Manda Malina isn’t performing as a Swedish pop sensation, she and her wife Elena are rescuing animals. That means all sorts of creatures: a duckling, a pig, baby goats, and over 25 cats!

One of the cats, a mother named Honey, brought with her a veritable community of cats in her fur-speckled belly! Or, as Malina put it, “a whole football team!”

“We were asked to take in a pregnant stray cat that a man found in his factory, and we had no idea this would happen!” Manda Malina.

As you can see, Honey was gigantic, with a belly ready to burst at any moment!

“She was HUGE, but we were happy to provide her with a safe space to give birth,” she continued.

Given Honey’s health, her new foster family knew she would have a large litter. But little did they know that this cat’s offspring would take over the house! Before the birth, they gave Honey “gentle belly massages to ease her discomfort.” This must have helped because she quickly gave birth to 12 kittens, eight of which survived.

“She is such a good mom. Imagine giving birth to 12 children!” she wrote.

Can Honey take care of all her babies?

With so many kittens, how could the kind mother possibly feed them all? Even if she was in perfect health before the pregnancy, it would surely put a strain on her body. That’s why the pop star stepped in to help, syringe- and bottle-feeding the kittens and bringing them back to the crowded Honey Milk Bar.

“Every two hours we make sure the kittens get milk using a syringe. Some of them suckle, some don’t. But she really needs our help because we think she doesn’t have enough milk. And she also needs a break. So we don’t get much sleep, but that’s okay because they really need our help,” Malina said.

Ready to take off for a new life!

Safe in their loving home, the tabby cats have grown up so fast! They have all become the cutest miniature replicas of their tabby mom. At 10 days old, one of the kittens was visited by the “eye fairy.”

It won’t be long before all the kittens are ready to take off for a new life! But first, they will all be spayed or neutered. Thanks to the foster family, they will all go to loving homes, and that’s the best fate a cat can hope for.
