A driver who lost his license after a drink-driving arrest has been jailed after being caught behind the wheel.

Charles Christopher Miller, 60, of Wildwood, was driving a red Dodge pickup around 10 a.m. Tuesday northbound on U.S. 301 near County Road 466A when he was spotted by a police officer who knew Miller’s license was suspended, according to a Wildwood Police Department arrest report. During a traffic stop, the officer confirmed Miller’s license had been suspended in March 2023.

Miller was arrested for driving on a suspended license due to driving under the influence of alcohol. He was booked into the Sumter County Detention Center and released on $2,500 bail.
