USC continues to seek Georgia-based players for its future

Four-star linebacker Christian Gass of Covington, Georgia, was offered by USC along with other top schools. That list of other schools includes Auburn, Colorado, Georgia, Ole Miss, Florida, Tennessee and Georgia Tech.

Gass is ranked as the 264th-best prospect in the 2025 class, according to the On3 Industry Rankings. Gass is ranked 243rd overall and 28th at his position, according to the 247Sports composite rankings.

During his junior campaign, the 6-foot-4, 205-pound linebacker totaled 68 tackles, 11 for loss and two sacks.

On3’s recruiting prediction machine gives Kentucky a 34.3% chance of signing him, followed by USC (22.7%), the Auburn Tigers (13.2%) and Florida (11.0%). USC linebackers coach Matt Entz would love to see what he can do with a quality player from the state of Georgia. As you can see, USC’s recent decommitments to Georgia-based players haven’t deterred Lincoln Riley and his staff from making forays into the Peach State for defensive talent. USC continues to take risks. In a year where the Atlanta Braves haven’t hit as well as they’d hoped (which makes Angelenos happy, considering the Braves are a major competitor to the Los Angeles Dodgers in the National League), USC is going to try to plug right into a few more Georgia recruiting efforts.
