Marblehead fireworks canceled after barge fire – Boston News, Weather, Sports

MARBLEHEAD, MASS. (WHDH) – A fireworks barge caught fire in Marblehead Harbor overnight, forcing the town to cancel its Fourth of July fireworks show.

Crews from Marblehead, Beverly and the U.S. Coast Guard responded to the scene Thursday morning.

Organizers said the fire department was investigating and would not allow any fireworks until they found out how the barge caught fire.
