Jennifer Lopez’s Cryptic Message Amid Ben Affleck’s Marital Woes Speaks Volume

Jennifer Lopez once said she’s “not your mother,” but it turns out she’s singing a whole different song.

The Grammy-nominated superstar sent a clear message to the world this week when she stepped out in New York City wearing an extremely cropped top with the bold words “JLO BE MY MAMA” emblazoned across her chest.

At 54, Jennifer proved she still has it in her, flaunting her rock-hard abs in a barely-there shirt, which she paired with a chic pink cardigan and on-trend baggy low-rise jeans from Acne Studios.

Her look was completed with a pair of crisp white sneakers and a luxurious Dioriviera Lady Dior bag.

The Misfortunes of Marriage

The sighting comes just after Jennifer’s latest promotional campaign for J. Lo Beauty, where she posed without her wedding ring, sparking speculation she’s married to Ben Affleck.

Although she doesn’t wear a ring in the clip, Jennifer did wear her wedding band for Coach marketing images shared over the weekend, leaving fans confused about the timeline of the photos.

According to Page Six, rumors have been swirling that Jennifer and Ben’s marriage has been on the rocks for months.

The couple, who tied the knot in a surprise ceremony in Las Vegas in July 2022 and celebrated their union with a lavish reception at Ben’s Georgia estate in August, have reportedly sold pieces from their art collection and put their $60 million estate on the market.

Ben, 51, has reportedly moved his belongings from their shared home to a rental property in Brentwood, California, to be closer to his children.

Speculation of trouble in paradise arose when Jennifer and Ben went nearly two months without being photographed together.

They did, however, put some rumors to rest when they reunited on May 16 to watch Ben’s 15-year-old son Fin Affleck perform in a school play in Los Angeles. They’ve been spotted together several times since, putting on a united front.

Divorce speculations

Jennifer has remained relatively quiet about the speculation surrounding her marriage, but she did face questions while promoting her Netflix film Atlas in Mexico City on May 22.

At a press conference, sitting alongside her co-star Simu Liu, Jennifer was asked directly by a reporter: “Is your divorce from Ben Affleck real? These rumors? What is the truth?”

Simu quickly came to his defense, saying, “We won’t do that. Thanks a lot, guys.”

Jennifer laughed at the question, but when the reporter pressed, she looked him straight in the eye and said, “You know that’s not the case.” Simu added, “Please don’t come in with that energy.”

Simu isn’t the only Atlas co-star to support Jennifer. Sterling K. Brown has also spoken out, insisting that Jennifer and Ben were “very much in love” while he was helping her write her script for the film.

“Every now and then, Ben would read the lines to Smith,” Sterling said, referring to a character in the film.

“I think the newlyweds, still very much in love, just wanted to hear her voice. Sometimes the reactions she had were because she was listening to her husband’s voice.”

Jennifer, always the professional, has continued to focus on her career despite the rumors. She remains a force in the entertainment industry, with her recent work in Atlas showcasing her versatility and dedication.
