Prince William reportedly caught talking about Princess Anne’s accident that left her hospitalised – watch video

Princess Anne suffered a terrible accident last month, forcing her to spend several days in hospital after being airlifted from her Gatcombe Park home.

Not much is known about the incident, other than that Anne “suffered minor injuries and a concussion” after possibly being hit by a horse while walking on her estate.

Princess Anne left hospital a week ago and is recovering at her home in Gatcombe

On this week’s episode of the A Right Royal podcast, hosts Andrea Caamano, Emmy Griffiths and HELLO! royal editor Emily Nash speak to Sky’s royal correspondent Rhiannon Mills about the latest royal news, including the Princess Royal’s incident that has forced her to step back from royal duties for a while as she continues to recover.

In the episode, which you can listen to above, Rhiannon talks about the days following her hospitalization and recalls a video, which you can watch below, taken during the state visit to honor the Emperor and Empress of Japan, which appeared to show Prince William speaking to the Duke and Duchess of Edinburgh about what exactly happened to Anne.

“I don’t know if you noticed this, because you may not have seen the footage, but during the state visit, there was a moment where the King and Queen were showing the Emperor and Empress various things from the Royal Collection, and over their shoulders, I was looking back at the footage, and you could see this little group that was the Duchess of Edinburgh, the Duke of Edinburgh and Prince William in the middle, and they seemed to be having this quite intense conversation,” Rhiannon explained, before adding: “Then all of a sudden, Prince William almost punched himself in the face, and I thought, ‘Oh, wait, they were talking about Anne.’ Now, look, I haven’t had confirmation, but it was literally the next day. It sounded like they were talking about it.”
