Dublin Bay Sailing Club Thursday Races Cancelled Due to Strong Westerly Winds

Dublin Bay Sailing Club (DBSC) Thursday night racing has been cancelled this evening due to strong westerly winds.

“Gusts of 30 knots” meant the second consecutive Thursday race of the 2024 AIB summer season was cancelled across all classes in Dun Laoghaire.

The Wimds should ease later in the evening, but unfortunately not in time for the DBSC programme.

The cancellation follows the cancellation of the Water Wag dinghy race on Wednesday for a similar reason.

Yacht racing continues this Saturday in Dun Laoghaire with the annual Royal St. George Yacht Club Regatta.
