Lightmatter Announces Appointment of NVIDIA Executive as Chief Financial Officer

Photonic supercomputing company Lightmatter has appointed Simona Jankowski as its new chief financial officer (CFO).

With over 20 years of experience at NVIDIA and Goldman Sachs, Jankowski brings expertise in financial strategy and investor relations, particularly in the artificial intelligence (AI) sector.

“Simona’s experience in financial strategy and investor relations, combined with her deep knowledge of AI, will help us scale our operations and prepare for future growth,” said Nick Harris, co-founder and CEO of Lightmatter.

Previously, Jankowski served as vice president of investor relations and strategic finance at NVIDIA, helping to grow the company during a period of transformation. Prior to that, as a managing director at Goldman Sachs, she led equity research in the computer hardware and communications technology sectors.

“Generative AI is driving demand for new hyperscale data centers. Lightmatter’s photonic advancements dramatically improve data center scalability and performance while improving energy efficiency,” Jankowski said.

Lightmatter said Jankowski’s appointment reflects the company’s strategic focus on strengthening its financial operations and advancing photonics-based computing solutions. His leadership is expected to guide the company through its next phase of innovation and expansion.
