Trump hurls harsh insults at Biden in July 4 message

Donald Trump launched a blistering attack on President Joe Biden in a July 4 message that sounded more like a comedian attending a celebrity bachelor party than a presidential candidate.

The presumptive Republican nominee criticized Biden’s performance in the debate and ripped his explanation, raising concerns among Democrats and leading to calls for him to quit the race, and he attacked Vice President Kamala Harris, who is widely seen as the top choice to replace the president at the top of the ticket.

“Happy 4th of July to all, including our highly incompetent “President” who is using prosecutors to prosecute his political opponent, who choked like a dog during the debate but tried to make it look like an “international trip” (only 12 days off!) and after the trip was over, blamed it on a “cold,” Trump posted on Truth Social. “So why would anyone say they have cognitive impairment?”

“I also want to congratulate our potential new Democratic challenger, Laffin’ Kamala Harris,” Trump added. “She had a poor showing in the Democratic nomination process, starting in second place, and eventually getting beaten and dropping out, before she even got to Iowa, but that doesn’t mean she’s not a ‘very talented’ politician! Just ask her mentor, the great Willie Brown of San Francisco.”

Trump then heaped insults on special counsel Jack Smith after the U.S. Supreme Court granted much of his immunity request and potentially weakened his case on election interference.

“Someone else I have to congratulate is a deranged Biden prosecutor named Jack Smith, who has become a legend in his own mind for all the cases he has lost,” Trump posted. “Corrupt prosecutors work hard for Crooked Joe, but it will never be enough – LET’S MAKE AMERICA GREAT AGAIN!”

By comparison, the president’s July 4 message celebrated the nation’s founding virtues and invited Americans to celebrate them together.

“Year after year, we come together today to celebrate freedom and independence,” Biden wrote. “Today, Jill and I look forward to tonight’s celebration and wish you all a wonderful Fourth of July.”
