The creepy roguelike inspired by Red Dead Redemption 2 just got a huge update

There were times in Red Dead Redemption 2 When I felt like I was in a horror game. When the fog rolls in and my horse is out of earshot because I wandered too far away to chase the deer, I get scared. As I carry the bloody carcass through the dark trees, every sound seems to signal danger. Soulslinger: Envoy of Death captures those creepy vibes, but I doubt anyone will feel helpless or scared as they rush through its levels and blast enemies to bits with a deadly revolver.

Soulslinger: Envoy of Death is a roguelike FPS game in which you play as a gunslinger stuck in limbo. However, the dead do not rest in peace and you must wage war against the Cartel, a group that tries to harvest souls to escape the afterlife. Although the game does not have many players, it has received very positive reviews, so let’s hope that its big new update can attract new blood.

There’s a new area to explore in Limbo, the Outskirts. This part of the map draws even more inspiration from the game’s Wild West. There’s also a new weapon available to shoot the Cartel, the Money Snatcher. It has a curved projectile that leaves a poisonous stain on the ground that deals massive area damage to enemies in its radius. There are also five new enemies to encounter during your runs as well as a new boss, the Returning Sheriff.
