Teacher surprised by student’s appearance in class: ‘Oh my God’

A boarding school teacher was speechless when he learned that one of his students insisted on coming to class even after having her wisdom teeth removed.

18-year-old student Rachel Hart shared the hilarious moment in a TikTok video that has since been viewed over 4 million times. In the video, the unidentified teacher notices that Hart has decided to attend her virtual class.

“Oh my God, Rachel, I just realized you don’t need to zoom,” he said.

Other students are puzzled by Hart’s presence and ask her if she is “high as a kite.”

Hart, seen in a car, then tries to explain her situation – as best she can (given that her mouth is numb).

“I’m… with my mother, on the way home,” she said, adding that she feels good.

When her classmates ask her why she decided to join the class after having her wisdom teeth removed, Hart gives an enthusiastic response.

“Because I want the attendance grade!” she said, making her teacher laugh.

“You will be excused,” he said. “You will be excused.”

The clip has since garnered nearly 3,000 comments.

“NOT THE TEACHER WHO SLAPPS HIS MOUTH TO HIDE HIS LAUGHTER BAHAHA,” wrote one user.

“I felt this in my SOUL regarding the girl’s attendance score,” added another.

“Rachel is the main character,” joked a third.

In a follow-up TikTok posted by Hart, the teacher continues to tell her that she doesn’t have to stay in class, even though one of her classmates tells her she should.

“I’m going to stay a while,” Hart said. “My mother says I have to go.”

When Hart later asks if the class is doing lab and the professor says yes, she laments having to miss class.

“Ah, this is the worst day to miss,” she said before calling it a day.

In a third TikTok, the class appears to be having fun with Hart’s wisdom teeth-related appearance.

“Wow, that was awesome,” one of the students exclaims. “That was awesome.”

“This is the only time it’s excusable to be stoned during class,” jokes another.

“That’s what commitment is,” said a third.
