Twitch streamer Kai Cenat admits live stream where he ‘burned down house’ with MrBeast was hoax & reveals how it worked

TWITCH streamer Kai Cenat has broken his silence after appearing to set his room on fire and possibly blow up part of his house with fireworks on a livestream Wednesday night.

In an Instagram Story posted on Thursday afternoon, the internet personality announced he would be going live for a special Fourth of July stream at 4 p.m.

On his stream at 4 p.m. on Thursday, Cenat was seen in his room – the same one that was supposedly destroyed the night before – and came clean that the explosion in his house was a prank.

Calling the stunt possibly “the greatest live prank of all time,” he also announced he dropped a YouTube video detailing how he and popular influencer, MrBeast, pulled off the prank.

Since Wednesday night’s stream, Cenat has been relatively quiet up until now.

It was during Wednesday’s stream when he and his friend, another popular streamer known as Davis, wrestled over the fireworks.

Cenat was attempting to stop Davis from lighting them, but he was unsuccessful.

As Davis lit the fuse, smoke and fire immediately started filling the room – but fans can’t tell whether or not it was a stunt.

For added context, Cenat once destroyed Davis’ room on stream in a similar way a few years ago, leading fans to suspect this was payback.

Over 300,000 people were watching the stream when the explosion went off live.

“Stop playin’ with me, bro,” Cenat was heard saying moments before the explosions.

“Not until July 4th,” he continued to plead as Davis ignored him and lit the fireworks anyway.

The pair were then seen frantically running out of the room with Cenant heard screaming at David before being drowned out by the fireworks.

Once the fire started, it wasn’t long before the screen was completely blurred by smoke.

The explosions intensified as the stream continued for another minute until it ultimately cut out.

Shortly after the screen went black, Cenat posted a cryptic message on X expressing his anger with no context.

“IM DONE WITH ALL THIS S**T!!!!! BET,” his post read.

Before his stream where he came clean, Thursday’s Instagram story was the first time fans have heard from Cenat since his post on X just one day prior.

A STAGED EVENT

Cenat’s stream set the internet ablaze, with some really believing the stream just blew up his house.

“Bro just destroyed the whole crib,” one person wrote on X.

“WTF JUST HAPPENED ON KAI STREAM?!” asked popular influencer Mark Phillips.

But other fans were convinced the explosion was a setup by the clever YouTubers for views and clicks.

“Either that house is cooked or this is genius-level marketing,” read one post.

Several fans even went as far as breaking down comparisons of the rooms, pointing out inconsistencies in the appearance of the room where Cenat usually has streams versus the one that was set on fire.

From the room’s lighting to the paint used on the doors and walls, to even the electrical wiring, fans claimed the room from Wednesday’s stream appears to be a replica, or maybe even a set.

“The @KaiCenat and @MrBeast stunt is so fake… just look at the colors of the doors,” one fan posted.

“Fake room. Look at the ceiling ad the pillars in the background, and the plugs on the wall,” another said.

“The Exit to the door also is not the same. The only real thing is the fireworks.”

“KAI CENAT AND MR BEAST JUST FOOLED THE INTERNET, THE FAKE ROOM HAS 2 LIGHT SWITCHES REAL DOES NOT,” wrote another.

“Its a fake room, your not fooling us the pillars and ceiling are fake and there’s no led lights,” another wrote.
