Did Carole Middleton send a secret political message on election day?

The fabulous Carole Middleton looked incredible on Thursday as she headed into day four of Wimbledon.

The Princess of Wales’ mother looked impeccably elegant as always, wearing a stunning white floral dress, which she teamed with a white blazer and low-heeled pumps, as well as chic sunglasses.

The mother-of-three’s dress is actually from Cefinn, Samantha Cameron’s fashion label. Samantha, affectionately known to many as Sam Cam, is married to David Cameron, who served as the UK’s Prime Minister for six years starting in 2010. He, of course, was the leader of the Conservative Party.

Was it touching that Carole chose to wear this dress on July 4th, the day of the British elections? Who knows!

Cefinn is an extremely popular designer brand and one that Carole has worn before, as has her daughter, so this may just be a total fashion coincidence.

Carole and Kate twinned

Carole often wears brands that her royal daughter covets. Last month, at Royal Ascot, the 69-year-old looked stunning in a Self-Portrait gown. Kate has been a regular wearer of the brand for many years, so it’s a great choice for Michael Middleton’s wife.

As well as having a penchant for the same brands, the couple has also worn the same dresses on a few occasions. One of Kate’s most famous pink dresses was a stunning shirt dress from ME+EM that she first wore in 2021 and then again to the Chelsea Flower show in 2023. The pretty design was a pleated style with a cinched waist and buttons down the front.

The year after the royal first wore it, Carole headed to Royal Ascot in 2022 and put her own spin on the sophisticated look by choosing the same dress but switching it up with completely different accessories – dressing it up in a fancy black fascinator and matching handbag.
