Rehoboth Beach man arrested on drug, gun charges after traffic stop – WGMD

Early Friday morning, Dewey Beach Police conducted a traffic stop on Coastal Highway at Scarborough Avenue Extended in Rehoboth Beach after observing traffic violations. During the stop, police conducted an extensive investigation and located a large fixed-blade knife in the glove compartment. Police also located a significant amount of marijuana, suspected promethazine and drug packaging materials in the vehicle. Police charged the driver, Kyle Kilgo, 21, of Rehoboth Beach, with the following offenses:

  • Possession of a deadly weapon by a person is prohibited
  • Carrying a concealed deadly weapon
  • Criminal detention with intent to deliver
  • Criminal Possession of a Level 1 Amount of a Controlled Substance
  • Offense of possession of drug paraphernalia not related to personal use
  • Multiple traffic violations

Kilgo was arraigned in Magistrate Court No. 7 and was subsequently committed to the Sussex Correctional Facility on $8,400 secured bail.
