Meet Pichu the Leopard Gecko, Find Out Where You Can Adopt Other Reptiles

BATON ROUGE, La. (BRPROUD) — This week, we have a scaly friend up for adoption instead of a furry friend. Pichu is a leopard gecko and he’s about three years old.

Meg and Sean Braud of Scales and Tails Animal Reptile Rescue have all the details on this cute little guy, who is up for adoption. Geckos are insectivores. They need proper lighting and temperature.

Pichu’s adoption fee is $50. Anyone interested must pay the fee and fill out a form to learn what it takes to care for a reptile. Each species is different, so it is important that it has the right diet and environment.

The Brauds of Scales and Tails Animal & Reptile Rescue want to be a resource for those interested in becoming reptile pet parents. You can meet them at the Thibodaux Reptile Expo on July 13th and 14th. They will have some of their adoptable reptiles on display at their table.
