Arne Slot looking to strengthen his backroom team ahead of new season

New Liverpool manager Arne Slot has confirmed he will strengthen his coaching staff.

The Dutchman arrived at the club to replace Jürgen Klopp, who left for the 2024/2025 season and beyond.

Slot has already brought in Sipke Hulshoff and Ruben Peeters as assistant coach and performance coach.

He will be replaced by goalkeeping coach Fabian Otte after the end of the Copa America.

“What has already been announced is Sipke Hulshoff, who I worked with at Feyenoord and at our old club Cambuur as well,” Slot told reporters.

“He’s also sitting here in the room, as you probably saw in the back.

“It’s already been announced. The goalkeeping coach has been announced. We’ve spoken to him, both of us (Slot and sporting director Richard Hughes), and we’re really pleased to have him join our team. And we expect two more to join our team. More announcements will follow in the near future.”
