Kingston School District, Ulster BOCES Offering Free Meals to Students Over Summer

KINGSTON, NY – The 2024 Summer Food Service Program begins in July to provide free meals to students, according to Ulster BOCES.

Breakfast will be served from 8 a.m. to 9 a.m. and lunch from 10:30 a.m. to 12 p.m. beginning Monday, July 8 at the Ulster BOCES Center for Innovative Teaching and Learning in Port Ewen, located at 319 Broadway, Port Ewen, and at the Ulster BOCES Center for Innovative Teaching and Learning at Anna Devine School, located at 1372 Old Post Rd, Ulster Park.

In the Kingston School District, free meals will be offered to:

• Chambers Elementary School, 945 Morton Boulevard, Town of Ulster, August 21 and 22 for breakfast from 8:25 a.m. to 9 a.m. and lunch from 11 a.m. to 11:45 a.m.

• Crosby Elementary School, 767 Neighborhood Road, Lake Katrien, August 14-20 for breakfast from 8:25 a.m. to 9 a.m. and lunch from 11 a.m. to 12 p.m.

• Forsyth Park, 157 Lucas Ave., Kingston, open until Aug. 16, for breakfast from 9 a.m. to 9:45 a.m. and for lunch from 11:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.

• George Washington Elementary School, 67 Wall St., Kingston, Aug. 20-23 for breakfast 8:25-9 a.m. and lunch 11-11:45 a.m.

• Edson Elementary School, 116 Merilina Ave., Kingston, August 27 and 28, for breakfast from 8:25 a.m. to 9 a.m. and lunch from 11 a.m. to 11:45 a.m.

• Hasbrouck Park on Delaware Avenue in Kingston, open until August 16, for breakfast from 9 a.m. to 9:45 a.m. and for lunch from 11:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.

• Hutton Park on Grand Street and Clifton Avenue in Kingston, open until August 16, for breakfast from 9 a.m. to 9:45 a.m. and lunch from 11:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.

• Kennedy Elementary School, 107 Gross Street, Kingston, August 20-23 for breakfast from 8:25 a.m. to 9 a.m. and lunch from 11 a.m. to 11:45 a.m.

• Kingston High School, 403 Broadway, August 19-30, for lunch from 11 a.m. to 12 p.m.

• Loughran Park, 50 Charlotte St. Eddyville, open through Aug. 16, for breakfast from 9 a.m. to 9:45 a.m. and lunch from 11:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.

The Summer Food Service Program was created to ensure that low-income children, ages 18 and under, continue to receive meals when schools are not in session.
