Palm Springs Animal Shelter Announces $2.48 Adoption Event July 5-7

From July 5 to 7, the Palm Springs Animal Shelter is hosting an adoption event for $2.48 per animal, the shelter shared on Facebook.

The adoption fee is a nod to the country’s 248th year of independence.

Dogs, big and small, and cats are looking for new homes, with a collage of more than 80 photos shared on social media.

In recent months, desert animal shelters have been experiencing an overpopulation crisis. KESQ’s Angela Chen reported that the Palm Springs animal shelter can house 42 large dogs, but as of April 2024, the capacity is over 70.

Adopt your new furry friend at the Palm Springs Animal Shelter, located at 4575 E. Mesquite Avenue in Palm Springs. Hours are 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. through Sunday.
