Dave Ross Dedicates Hit To Commuter Caught With Model

As a recent article from Chokepoints on MyNorthwest explained, it happened again last month: a driver was caught in the carpool lane with a very realistic mannequin. However, it wasn’t realistic enough to fool the police.

On June 19, the Washington State Patrol (WSP) ticketed a man for driving in the high-occupancy vehicle (HOV) lanes with a fake “dummy” passenger, a not-too-uncommon sight for state patrol officers.

More from Dave Ross: Let the rich pay the exorbitant tolls on the “luxury roads”

A WSP District 2 motorcyclist spotted an Acura with a mannequin in the passenger seat of his car using the high-occupancy vehicle lane, stopping the driver on southbound Interstate 405 (I-405) near Interstate 90 (I-90).

According to Rick Johnson, WSP soldierThe driver said he had been using the dummy for a long time “because rideshare was so crappy.”

The model can be seen adorned with glasses and a goatee while wearing a Columbia zip-up and appropriately wearing a seat belt.

As a result, this commuter will have to pay hundreds of dollars into the public treasury, which will undoubtedly be spent on improving our highways. So, as a tribute, I dedicate one of my greatest hits to you, sir:
