Ant and Dec shock Spanish holidaymakers with unexpected appearance at budget resort in Majorca

Ant McPartlin and Declan Donnelly shocked tourists when they made a sudden appearance at a Majorca resort.

The I’m A Celebrity presenters, both 48, turned up at the Protur Bonaire hotel in Cala Bona on Wednesday wearing matching holiday outfits as they sped around in a go-kart. Dozens of holidaymakers flocked to the resort’s pool to see the two celebrity guests.

Many were confused as to why the Saturday Night Takeaway duo were randomly wandering into the budget hotel, but it turns out the presenters were actually filming a TV advert for TUI Holiday, a regular user of the Protur Bonaire hotel in sunny Spain.

In photos obtained by Mail Online, many tourists were seen smiling with joy as they took pictures of the two men walking around the hotel for the publicity. They even stopped to greet some of their fans during the few hours they spent at the hotel. According to those present, the tourists were told that they would not have time to stop for individual photos.

“Everyone was really excited to see them,” one excited guest told MailOnline before revealing they were spotted after lunch. “Pretty quickly everyone got wind of the scene and started waiting outside the apartment to see them. Eventually it turned out they were filming a TUI advert.”

The announcement comes a week after Ant was spotted out and about with his wife Anne-Marie and their newborn son Wilder. The couple welcomed their first child together in May. Anne-Marie, who previously worked for Ant as an executive assistant, also has two daughters with her former husband.

The proud parents looked relaxed as they strolled with their baby and beloved dogs. While Anne-Marie took charge of the stroller, Ant was seen holding the leads of their Maltipoo dogs Milo and Bumble and Labrador Hurley, who he shares with ex-wife Lisa Armstrong.

In May, his ex-wife Lisa seemingly offered a rare olive branch to the TV star, whom she divorced in 2018, by praising him and his best friend Declan Donnelly for their work on Saturday Night Takeaway. Ahead of their final episode, Lisa liked a post calling the duo “simply the best” on a milestone night for them.

However, she seemed to have a change of heart last week when she took to Instagram to share a post about “assholes.” The makeup artist shared, “I saw a post that said, ‘If you want a happy, healthy life, you need to avoid assholes, not carbs.’ I think we could all benefit from hearing that today.”
