Houses inspired by mathematical equations: the house with countless windows

Architecture studio Fala Atelier designed the House of Countless Windows, a house located in Lisbon whose structure creates an illusion of height. To achieve this, the project includes a greater number of windows on its façade, giving the impression that the building is taller than the three floors due to the windows along the façade. This is further accentuated by the two-level structure of the house inside which was integrated to maximize space.

Filipe Magalhães, co-founder of the studio, explains the design process to Dezeen: “The house is a mathematical equation. All the measurements, thicknesses and proportions work together to compose the building. Moving a door or a slab by two centimetres would have an impact on the whole building.”
