Olise ready to prove himself and win titles after Bayern move

Bayern Munich signing Michael Olise has said he is ready to prove himself and win more titles next year after signing a five-year contract.

“I want to prove myself at this level and make my contribution so that we win as many titles as possible with our team in the years to come,” Olise said on Sunday via the Bayern Munich website.

The young star’s ambitious move marks the start of a new chapter in his career as he joins the German giants from Crystal Palace.

Bayern Munich announced on Sunday that Olise would be their latest summer signing, securing the talented player for €53 million on a five-year contract.

With this transfer, Olise follows in the footsteps of Harry Kane, as both players have now swapped the Premier League for the power of the Bundesliga.

The French youth international, who is set to represent his country at the upcoming Paris Olympics, expressed his enthusiasm for the decision.

“The discussions with Bayern have been very positive and I am very happy to now play for such a big club. It is a great challenge and exactly what I was looking for,” Olise told the club’s website.

At Bayern, Olise will work under new manager Vincent Kompany, who recently left Burnley.

While he was initially expected to provide backup to Leroy Sané, the left-footed player could potentially force his way into the starting XI.

Bayern Munich CEO Max Eberl expressed his enthusiasm about the acquisition: “Michael Olise is a player who can make a difference and who has attracted a lot of interest with his style of play. We want a new impetus in our team, new energy, new ideas – that’s what players like Michael Olise represent.”

Eberl also highlighted Olise’s eagerness to join the club: “During the discussions, he quickly made it clear that he really wanted to join FC Bayern. We are looking forward to it. He will enrich our game.”

The significance of the move is underlined by the fact that Olise now ranks as the fourth most expensive transfer in Bayern Munich’s history.
