An influencer and her family have left their McMansion after her boyfriend was allegedly kidnapped from the property and had his teeth pulled out with pliers over a drug debt one of his relatives allegedly incurred.

TikTok star Angel Bowyer, 25, and her partner Peter Vuong, 27, were sleeping at their family home in Smithfield, in Sydney’s west, on March 9 last year when a group of men allegedly stormed the house armed with sledgehammers and guns.

The men then allegedly abducted Mr Vuong and held him captive at a squalid property in Belmore, in the city’s west, where he was blindfolded and tortured for six days as they attempted to extort a $5 million ransom.

The cash demands were allegedly sent to cryptocurrency investor Tran Dinh, husband of Ms Bowyer’s cousin, who then alerted police and launched a complex rescue operation to save Mr Vuong.

Mr Dinh was allegedly the target of the attack and has since fled Australia, while six men and a woman have been arrested in connection with the alleged kidnapping.

The Daily Mail Australia can now reveal that the Bowyer family – which includes Angel, mother Yen, father Linh and brother Tim – put their home up for sale in August, five months after the alleged attack.

This four-bedroom property on a 683sqm block includes a ‘cinema room’, two bathrooms, a double garage and a $4,000 security system.

It sold on September 26 for $1,570,000, and the family bought another property in Sydney for $1.8 million the following month.

The property, which sold for more than $1.5 million, also includes a “movie theater” and a $4,000 security system.

Neighbours previously told Daily Mail Australia that the family had installed a high-tech security system at the premises days before the alleged abduction.

Court documents allege that the accused attackers had unsuccessfully tried to abduct Mr. Vuong days before his kidnapping.

Angel Bowyer is a convicted drug offender who was jailed for selling massive amounts of MDMA, but has now reinvented herself as a big brand influencer with over 350,000 followers.

After being released from prison, she rose to fame on TikTok where she partners with popular fashion brands including Pretty Little Things, Stax, and Gingham & Heels.

Despite his involvement in an alleged kidnapping scandal, his social media fame continues to thrive.

Her audience has grown by over 1,000 people in the last 12 months and she has now also become an ambassador for US brand FashionNova.

The Daily Mail Australia does not suggest that any member of Ms Bowyer’s family was involved in Mr Vuong’s extortion, or knew about his previous drug dealing.

Viliami Siasau, 20, Valali Tonga, 21, Sunia Siasau, 21, and John Totau Fahamokioa, 21, Lolo Liavaa, 20, and Kitueau Tatafu, 22, were arrested on March 14, 2023, shortly after Mr. Vuong’s rescue.

Sira Elkheir, 22, was arrested the following month, on April 12, and charged with allegedly accessing confidential data – including driver’s licence information and addresses – through her role as a public servant with Service NSW to assist in the kidnapping and extortion.

Ms Elkheir pleaded guilty and was sentenced in March this year to an 18-month good behaviour bond and 30 hours of community service.

The charges against John Totau Fahamokioa have since been dropped, while the cases of Sunia Siasau, Viliami Siasau, Valali Tonga and Lolo Liavaa remain before the courts.
