Peeping Tom accused of hitting police officer: police

A convicted voyeur has reportedly reoffended, this time accused of hitting a police officer who tried to arrest him.

Dallas County, Texas, jail records show Keevis Holland, 41, is locked up on charges including aggravated assault on a peace officer, stealing a weapon from an officer and assault causing bodily harm.

Irving police officers said at 12:31 a.m. Monday, they were called to 4100 W Airport Fwy in Irving for a call for assistance to an officer. Police did not name the location, but it was a Walmart. The officer needing help turned out to be one of their counterparts from Ore City. Off duty but in uniform, he learned from security that Holland was taking pictures up women’s skirts, police said.

The officer attempted to arrest Holland.

“As the officer handcuffed the defendant’s left wrist, the defendant turned and began striking the officer’s face and head multiple times with his closed fists,” police said in a statement obtained by Law&Crime. “Each time the defendant struck the officer, the detached handcuff also struck him, causing a laceration to the top of the officer’s scalp. The officer fell to the ground and dropped his department-issued Taser. The defendant picked up the Taser and pointed it at the officer, causing the officer to fear serious bodily harm or death due to the risk that the defendant would incapacitate him with the Taser and take his firearm.”

Security cameras captured the assault, police said.

As the officer chased him, Holland fled into the parking lot and drove away in a gray Dodge Ram, police said. Officers said they used the license plate number to determine it was registered to Holland.

The defendant had been charged with similar voyeurism offenses before. He pleaded guilty in 2017 to filming two different women with his phone in March and April of that year, according to NBC Dallas-Fort Worth affiliate KXAS and Fox Dallas affiliate KDFW. He was reportedly released on parole after serving a 20-year prison sentence for a 2002 aggravated robbery plea.

Back in 2024, Holland is in trouble again. The police showed up at his house to serve him with an arrest warrant, but it turns out he wasn’t there.

“They were wearing regular clothes, but they had guns and bulletproof vests and everything,” neighbor Omar Ayala told KDFW. “And they were yelling into the microphone, saying, ‘Get out, get out.’”

Holland finally surrendered Tuesday and is being held on $152,000 bail.
