10 Million Peso Reward Offered for Arrest of Apollo Quiboloy

MANILA, Philippines — A P10-million reward awaits anyone who comes forward with credible information that would lead to the arrest of fugitive televangelist Apollo Quiboloy, Interior Secretary Benjamin Abalos Jr. said at a news conference Monday.

Abalos also announced a reward of one million pesos for information leading to the arrest of Quiboloy’s subordinates, Cresente Canada, Paulene Canada, Ingrid Canada, Sylvia Camanes and Jackiely Roy.

“We have friends who want to help find them and have offered a reward of P10 million for information leading to the arrest of Pastor Quiboloy and P1 million for the others,” Abalos said, speaking partly in Filipino.

On April 3, a regional court in Davao ordered the arrest of Quiboloy and his subordinates Cresente Canada, Paulene Canada, Ingrid Canada, Sylvia Camanes and Jackiely Roy.

They are accused of violating the Anti-Child Abuse Act (Republic Act No. 7610), particularly the provision relating to child sexual abuse and maltreatment.

On April 11, a Pasig city court also issued an arrest warrant for the self-proclaimed “son of God” on a non-bailable charge of human trafficking.
