Coronation Street’s Cassie to be arrested for framing Abi

Coronation Street spoilers follow.

Coronation Street’s Cassie Plummer has some explaining to do in Wednesday’s (January 3) episode as Roy Cropper confronts her for setting up Abi Webster.

Cassie’s lies catch up with her when Roy reveals he knows she caused trouble for Abi at the garage.

Last month, Cassie borrowed a customer’s car from the garage without permission while taking Roy on a mission to buy a Christmas present for his mother Evelyn.

Cassie accidentally scratched the vehicle during the trip and then let Abi take the blame for causing the damage.

To top it all off, Cassie deliberately called the customer before Abi and Kevin had managed to get the scratch removed. The situation then escalated, the customer became angry and tensions grew between Abi and her husband Kevin at work.

In Wednesday’s episode, Roy steps in after hearing what’s happening at the garage.

Roy warns Cassie that he won’t let Abi take the blame for damaging the car, so he gives her a chance to confess.

Cassie agrees to confess, but as she is about to do so, Kevin kindly offers her a permanent position at the garage thanks to her seemingly successful trial. Not wanting to waste the opportunity, Cassie remains silent.

Later, the owner of the car comes to collect the vehicle from the garage.

Despite Kevin and Abi’s considerable efforts to make amends, the client refuses to pay them a cent for the original work.

Kevin loses his cool and lashes out at Abi, blaming her once again for the scratch. Will Cassie come clean or will Roy have to solve the drama?
