Campbell Wrestling Announces Addition of TJ Dudley to Team

BUIES CREEK, North Carolina – Campbell Wrestling and Head Coach Scotti Trails announced the hiring of TJ Dudley as an assistant coach.

“TJ brings with him a wealth of wrestling and coaching knowledge,” Sentes said. “What I’m most excited about is his energy. He’s a high-energy guy who seems to light up the room, and I think that’s going to make him a great motivator. I think he’s going to be a great asset to our team.”

Dudley joins the Camels from Brown University, where he served on staff for three seasons.

Dudley was a member of the Nebraska varsity wrestling team and was a three-time All-American at 184 pounds. He finished eighth, second and third in his sophomore and junior seasons. He qualified for the NCAA Championships all four years and competed in the Big Ten Championships three times.

Campbell adds Dudley a year after qualifying five wrestlers for nationals and heavyweights Taye Ghadiali becoming the second Campbell wrestler to be named an All-American.

Dudley will focus on training the higher weights as he looks to help Ghadiali achieve more success at domestic level. He will also help coach Levi Hopkins at 197 pounds, who was third in the nation in pins last year and finished sixth at the U23 national championships before representing the United States at the U23 Pan American championships, where he finished 3-0 and won the gold medal.
