Louise Thompson has broken her silence on her brother Sam and his girlfriend Zara McDermott following their “crisis talks”.

The couple’s romance has reportedly been in trouble of late after the ex-Strictly star, 27, She reportedly rushed to her parents’ house after a “violent argument” with Sam, 31, and packed her bags, leaving the London home they share.

Earlier this week IIn pictures obtained by The Sun, Zara appeared emotional and could be seen talking on the phone to an onlooker who claimed she had shouted: “I don’t feel like I should and I’ve been putting it off.”

They later told the publication that the star was “in a bad way” and “clearly distressed”, saying: “She was pacing up and down the same street holding a cup of coffee. She was beside herself.”

However, while claims that their relationship problems are just a desperate publicity stunt are being made, the viewer admitted to finding the spectacle rather strange.

After their tense exchange at Soccer Aid, Zara hit back and said she was giving Sam “positive affirmations,” after it seemed like they were arguing.

In pictures obtained exclusively by MailOnline, the I’m A Celebrity winner was seen in an emotional exchange with his close pal in the smoking area of London’s Grosvenor House hotel.

Sam appeared to break down in tears before Pete gently hugged him, but the Made In Chelsea star has now explained why he was so emotional.

Speaking on his podcast Staying Relevant, he revealed he received some upsetting news that day, but confirmed he was not crying.

“I wasn’t crying, I wasn’t really crying. I just want everyone to know that now.”

“Look, there’s no way around this. Actually, I had received some bad news, so I was really sad, I’m not going to lie, but I was.

Sam explained that Pete took him to the back of the hotel to comfort him and give him a shoulder to cry on.

He explained: “I let it go, I let it all out. I headbutt Pete on the shoulder. I’m being patted under his armpit and he’s such a good companion saying ‘I’m always here for you blah blah blah’ and I feel very sorry for myself.”

It comes just days after Sam shared a clip of himself arguing with Zara as part of a parody advert on Thursday.

Working with toothpaste brand Sensodyne, Sam shared the advert on his Instagram, saying he was “just a big sensitive person” and that there was “nothing wrong with being sensitive”.

In the comedy sketch, the pair argue while Sam brushes Zara’s teeth, who looks unhappy, before she snaps: “You know it’s also 100% recyclable, just like boyfriends.”
